Salt system install Gilbert Arizona

I was contacted by a customer in Gilbert Arizona who wanted a salt system replacement. There was an old Hayward salt system in the past, but the display board had stopped working and the old cell had been removed. The customer wanted to go back to a salt system again. I drained the pool before putting in the salt, because the total dissolved solids were high and the calcium hardness was high. I made sure to add the salt to fresh water.

I put in a Pentair Intellichor cell and a Pentair power supply. Hayward flow sensors are plumbed into a T-fitting and it was leaking. The Hayward salt cell display panel was not functioning. I install the Pentair salt systems, because the cell has the computer board and the flow sensor in the cell. This is a benefit, because when the cell stops producing chlorine and is replaced as part of the cells normal life cycle, the computer board and flow sensor are replaced too. Everything is new at that point.

The separate power supply for the Pentair rarely goes bad and has a fuse inside that would blow from an electrical spike protecting the computer board. The Pentair salt system is my choice for a salt cell replacement.
