Pool Repair in Gilbert Arizona

Recently I was called to Gilbert Arizona for a pool repair involving me plumbing in a check-valve. Every time the home owner removed the pump lid and attempted to clean the leaves out of the basket, the water in the pump would flow back to the pool through the skimmer and all the leaves along with it. The pool equipment is on a high spot in the back of the yard and higher than the pool, so there was no way to keep the water from flowing downhill without a check valve.

The old equipment pad was turned 90 degrees which is not normal. The equipment was placed on the pad in such a way I had no room to move the pump back far enough to install a check valve in front of the pump. Since the pad was severely cracked into 4 pieced along the rebar, I replaced it. The equipment now sits on the pad the right way, so the pump and filter are next to each other and I could move the pump on the pad where I needed it to complete the plumbing repair without the filter being in the way.

When I was done, I painted the pipe to protect it from getting UV damaged from the sun and she has a new pad that will last another 15+ years.
